Job Title: Prison Plumber

Role Specific Requirement:

  • Required checks EL1 or EL2
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Appropriate trade qualification
  • Gas safe registration card
  • Legionella Control (L8)
  • Due to security vetting, candidates are required to have at least 3 year's continuous residency within the UK.

Main Purpose: To ensure the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme is completed in line with specifications and Work Packages. Please note, this role will be working within a prison environment.

  • 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, working 7.5 hour shift per day between the hours of 7am - 5pm.

Person Requirements:

Experience:

  • Maximo maintenance system experience or similar package
  • Experience in operating light plant

Responsibilities:

  • Routine and non-routine maintenance
  • Fault finding
  • Identification of life expired equipment
  • Check, repair and make good faults and life expired equipment
  • Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment
  • Mains water supply repairs
  • Ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and to agreed method statements
  • Minimise wastage and continually improve processes
  • Ensure statutory works are carried out to time and that work is compliant
