Your new companyHays are pleased to be working exclusively with this global technology and services provider. Your new roleThere is an urgent need for someone to join on a long-term, temporary ongoing post as a Senior Finance Assistant.Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining daily exchange rates.
  • Bank/Statement reconciliations using a multiple of currencies
  • Process all UK bank account transactions, including daily customer cash allocation.
  • Prepare supplier payments on a digital platform in various currencies monthly.
  • Facilitate credit control for established and new UK divisions. Providing customers with monthly statements and copy invoices. Reporting monthly past due results to European Division and Global Controllers.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and prepare the management accounts of a relatively small German Division.
  • Undertake journal postings.
  • Three-way matching supplier invoices for expenses and stock for a newly established UK division.
  • Provide ongoing financial and commercial analysis.
  • Assist in the administration of the UK statistical sampling of stock and full counts.
  • Support internal and external audit.
  • Dealing with customer and supplier queries.
  • Assists in safeguarding and controlling company assets.
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the data feeding the financial statements.
  • Leverages understanding of key business fundamentals to drive financial health and improve operating efficiencies and profitability.
  • Understand and ensure external and internal customer-specific requirements are met.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met (monthly, quarterly, and annually).

What you'll need to succeedThis role would be ideal for someone who is immediately available or on short notice. You will have good experience and knowledge of having worked within finance previously in a similar capacity. You will display good communication skills, be used to working towards targets and deadlines. This is a fast-paced role, and you must be able to demonstrate that you are able to work independently and are detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will have good excel skills (vlookups, pivots etc), knowledge of Oracle or experience in an ERP environment would be beneficial. What you'll get in return
