The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance across our production lines. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to work with a variety of modern machinery, PLC systems, and other high-spec equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on a variety of equipment
  • Conduct fault-finding diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of machinery and maintenance procedures
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth, efficient operations
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Qualifications and Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
