Your new companyHays is working in partnership with Evesham Special School, on the recruitment of temporary and permanent Teaching Assistants. We are looking for TA's to work in both 1 to 1 and class TA roles, either full or part-time. What you'll need to succeedIn your new role as an SEN Teaching Assistant within this school, you will be required to work across all year groups as required. You will be supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and group basis, holding intervention and booster sessions, speech and language, phonics and support in all core subjects as required. You will effectively monitor and manage the students' engagement and behaviour by using positive behaviour techniques, including effectively identifying trigger points, distraction techniques, and taking students out of the class as required. What you'll get in returnTo be considered for this role, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people with SEN in the last 2 years, as well as:

  • An NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in children's learning and development is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous experience or expert knowledge in SEN
  • Currently, have or be willing to undergo a full DBS check
