Job title: Transport Planner

House: 45 hours per week, one weekend in three
About the Role
Rhodium Consulting are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a fast paced and busy team. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule that requires working one weekend in three, totalling 45 hours per week. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for:
- Planning efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled delivery windows.
- Managing drivers and ensuring compliance with driver regulations.
- Booking customer orders and updating stock systems accurately.
- Maintaining smooth operations through effective time management and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent geographical knowledge – we deliver nationwide.
- Route planning and scheduling to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to prioritize workloads and manage time effectively.
- Experience conducting driver briefings and ensuring transport compliance.
- Traffic management and the ability to respond calmly under pressure.
- A keen eye for detail with strong data entry skills.
- Solid understanding of driver regulations and the ability to manage drivers' hours daily.
- Proficiency in IT systems, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, team-focused attitude.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in multi-drop logistics and chilled distribution (minimum 3 years).
- Demonstrated background in supply chain management or transport planning.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent English communication.
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English.
