Job Purpose
  • Manage a varied client portfolio, working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure deadlines and budgets are being met.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements, primarily for Limited companies and Charities.
  • Lead Companies Act audits, including planning, fieldwork, completion, stock take attendances and systems recording.
  • Oversee junior staff, including workflow management, review work, and training.
  • Preparation of letters and reports in relation to audit and the financial statements.
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns for Limited companies.
  • Build trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries
  • Lead WIP reporting for your portfolio, maintaining complete recording and filing.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in legislation and industry trends.

The Successful Applicant
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT Level 4 studying
  • Recent practice experience including statutory audits, group audits, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
