Butler Rose is working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Financial Controller for a successful Devon business, operating in the manufacturing sector.
Reporting into the Finance Director, as well as working closely with the Managing Director, this is an exciting role that has the opportunity to progress into Finance Director over time.
Key duties will include:
- Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance department including managing a small team
- Production of monthly management accounts with commentary
- Cash flow management
- Produce regular KPI reports as required by the business
- Preparation of budgets
- Forecasting and re-forecasting as appropriate
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Overseeing payroll
- Oversee credit control
- Quarterly VAT return submission
The successful candidate will ideally be a formally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) although those who are QBE with relevant experience will also be considered. You will have strong communication skills and be willing to get stuck in, working for a SME in a friendly team.
Experience within the manufacturing / FMCG sector or a product based environment is advantageous, although not essential.
