Our client, a leading forward-thinking organisation, is currently seeking an adept Interim Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a full-time contract for 6 months.
As the Interim Financial Accountant, you'll be a key strategic partner in finance, delivering comprehensive financial management through advanced accounting, statutory reporting, and meticulous controls, providing end-to-end oversight to drive organisational performance and decision-making.
The responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of monthly journal entries in accordance with reporting schedules.
- Conduct comprehensive account reconciliations for all balance sheet items on a monthly basis.
- Contribute to the maintenance and refinement of cash flow projections.
- Support the creation of statutory financial reports and regulatory filings for the group, including direct communication with tax authorities and government agencies.
- Compile and submit required information to the national statistics office upon request.
- Participate actively in the external audit process, serving as a liaison and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Spearhead initiatives to enhance finance system functionality and internal controls.
- Undertake special financial analysis projects as needed by the organisation.
- Provide expertise and cross-functional support to various finance teams, leveraging diverse skill set.
- Manage VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate tax matters in collaboration with relevant authorities.
The candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with extensive technical accounting expertise and experience.
- Proactive approach, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of both independent work and effective team collaboration
- Strategic problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills and innovative thinking.
- Meticulous professional committed to delivering precise, high-quality results.
- Proficient in Accounting Software and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
