This role offers a competitive daily rate and the flexibility of hybrid working.Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local government regulations.
Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations.
Audit Preparation: Support the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to provide financial guidance and support.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Must be a qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
Experience: Proven experience in local government finance is essential.
Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
