Job Purpose

  • Manage a portfolio of c.300 tax clients.
  • Review tax returns for a range of clients, including Individuals, Trusts, and Partnerships.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, relaying technical information to clients in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Assist with proactive tax planning.
  • Deliver sound tax compliance and advisory support.
  • Manage forecasting, billing, and reporting.
  • Work proactively to ensure compliance for all clients.
  • Become actively involved with the business development of the firm, promoting the business online and in person.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider firm, supporting with ad hoc duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • ATT qualified or equivalent with at least five years’ post-qual experience.
  • At least three years’ experience in a tax role in practice.
  • Experience using tax software, including CCH.
  • Sound technical understanding of tax matters and legislation.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
  • Able to confidently work closely with Partners.
