We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Assistant position based in Exeter. This role is ideal for someone with previous Accounts Assistant experience. While motor trade experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The position is perfect for candidates who are currently studying towards AAT Level 4 or have similar qualifications.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supporting the Accountants with the relevant month end processes
• Managing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Reconciling daily banking entries and resolving discrepancies.
• Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant.
• Currently pursuing AAT Level 4 or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of AAT Level 2 already achieved.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in the motor trade is beneficial but not required.
