Accounts Receivable AdministratorExeter, Devon£24,500 - £25,700 per annum

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the South-West, is expanding their finance team and seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Accounts Receivable Administrator, you will play a vital role within the finance team, providing essential support while ensuring the accurate maintenance of the Accounts Receivable Ledger. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly telephone manner, and the ability to build effective relationships.

The responsibilities:

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including cash allocation and query resolution.
  • Monitor the age of debts and outstanding balances against limits.
  • Create and maintain accounts, including conducting credit checks.
  • Conduct proactive credit control, including preparing collection letters and liaising with internal departments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and control accounts for accounts receivable.
  • Process refunds and adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve finance-related issues.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail combined with flexibility and adaptability is crucial.
  • Proficient in IT, especially MS Office and accounting software, with strong organisational and communication abilities.
  • Must remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a team player mentality.
