Job Title: Ecologist
Location: South of England
Salary: Up to 拢42,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join a dynamic and forward-thinking consultancy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, assessments, and mitigation strategies for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
路Conducting ecological surveys, including habitat assessments and protected species surveys.
路Specialising in bat surveys and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
路Preparing technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs).
路Advising clients on ecological constraints, planning requirements, and mitigation strategies.
路Liaising with stakeholders, including developers, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
路Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development.
Requirements:
路Bat licence - essential.
路A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
路Proven experience conducting protected species surveys and ecological assessments.
路Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
路Excellent report writing and communication skills.
路Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
