SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL NEED TO VISIT OFFICE 2 TIMES PER WEEK

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join their team

This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant

You will

  1. To undertake the valuations and negotiations that arise in connection with:
    1. the grant of leases, tenancies, licences, wayleaves and easements
    2. terminations and lease end/surrenders
    3. rent reviews and lease renewals
    4. property disposal and acquisition
    5. insurance
    6. rating assessments
    7. lease re-gears
    8. capital accounting purposes/asset valuations
  2. To oversee the day to day management of property within the portfolio including the implementation of reviews and renewals, new lettings, debt collection, the administration of service charges, landlord’s consents, dilapidations, tenant management, repair requests and management, addressing arising health and safety issues and to develop and implement management practices for these areas of work.
  3. To provide all necessary property management advice to other units of the Council.
  4. To monitor, guide and assist the Assistant Estates Surveyors in progressing their own work caseload and, where appropriate, assist in training and professional development.
  5. To carry out such other duties and responsibility as may be allocated from time to time by the Principal Estates Surveyor.
