Principal Officer- Ecology and Biodiversity

Full time hours on a temporary basis

• To provide specialist ecological advice to all aspects of the planning system, with the overall aim of ensuring high quality development that makes good provision and improvements for habitats and biodiversity, and to contribute to raising the quality of development in the city
• Providing ecological advice to ensure biodiversity and habitat benefits are embedded within development projects;
• The arrangement of appropriate public consultation exercises in association with such schemes;
• Sending out tenders, evaluation of tenders, and engagement of contractors;
• Responsibility for all matters relating to contract supervision including the financial management of projects to ensure that they are delivered on-budget and on time
