Sustainability Manager – Renewable Energy
 
Climate17 are pleased to be working with a leading energy company who are committed to providing renewable solutions and transitioning to a low carbon infrastructure, whilst working with customers to reduce energy consumption and a combined positive impact for their local community and the planet!
 
They are looking to hire an experienced Sustainability Manager for a subsidiary within the Group who manage anaerobic digestion sites within the South West supplying eco-friendly energy within the region.  The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with combination of time split between Exeter, home-working and other local sites.

 
The Role
  • You will have responsibility for the management and coordination of accreditations and certifications and ensure that reports (Ofgem and ISCC) are correct and on time.
  • Engage with stakeholders to manage, prepare and deliver reports.
  • Work closely with Site Managers to keep abreast of any changes to heat and power circuits that may need action.
  • Complete periodic internal audits to drive compliance and continuous improvement and provide guidance to sites to ensure they remain fully RHI, FiT and ISCC compliant.
  • Be the focal point for all Ofgem and ISCC external audits and engage with auditors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Take responsibility to ensure all feedstocks used are Ofgem compliant
  • Raise REGOs and RGGOs and ensure all associated reports are correct and be involved in the Energy Management for sale of RGGO/REGOs
 
Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience in working with regulatory bodies (preferably.Ofgem).
  • Experience of energy trading and derivates is beneficial.
  • A degree level education in a science related subject is preferable, but not essential with demonstrable experience gained from and engineering or industrial background.
  • Team player with collaborative approach to work, attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness in your approach to work
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal and negotiation skills.
  • Full clean driving license
