Audit and Accounts Manager

Exeter

Full time - Permanent

Hybrid working (2 days home / 3 days office)

We are currently recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join our client based in their Exeter branch.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist the Senior Management team and Directors in delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation
  • 50% Audit / 50% Accounts including Charity and Not for Profit Sector
  • Management and delivery of audit / accounts assignments
  • Oversight of workflow and management of team
  • Taking lead role on audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Review audit files ahead of Director review
  • Reviewing and preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including support analysis
  • Preparation of statutory accounts from client trial balance
  • Delivering information and communicating with clients in a timely and effective manner
  • Assisting with senior management team / Partners
  • Building and sustaining key relationships with clients
  • Ad-hoc project work

About You:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification with practice experience
  • Experience as a manager or overseeing a small team
  • Able to multitask and prioritise
  • Work under pressure to tight and conflicting deadlines
  • Experience managing audit assignments
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience using IRIS and My Work Papers (desirable)
