Finance ManagerDevon: Exeter, Okehampton, Tiverton£60,000 per annum
Our esteemed client, a well-established manufacturing organisation, is presently seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As Finance Manager, you will lead the finance function, maintaining precise records, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial insights through monthly management accounts. You will be a commercially minded individual with the ability to identify and implement positive change operationally.
The responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare management accounts, cash flow summaries, and ensure statutory compliance (PAYE, NI, P11D).
- Collaborate with senior management on annual budgets and monitor cash flow trends.
- Manage corporate governance, statutory records, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Oversee payroll, benefit schemes, and ensure timely tax payments to HMRC.
- Coordinate energy procurement, insurance coverage, and tax reporting with teams.
- Develop systems to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Supervise scheduling, training, reviews, and foster a culture of accountability.
- Advise senior management on financial constraints, legislation changes, and strategy.
The candidate:
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 3+ years in senior finance roles.
- Expertise in UK financial regulations, tax laws, accounting standards, and pension schemes.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
- Proven leadership in financial planning, cost control, and team management.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data clearly.
