Position: Housing Management Officer
Salary: 24,500 per year
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Additional Information:

  • On-call duties (1 in every 4 weeks), 100/week when on-call

The Role:
As a Housing Management Officer, you will play a key role in managingproperties, ensuring that vacancies are filled, rent arrears are addressed, and residents receive the support they need. You will collaborate with the Devon & Cornwall Supported Housing Service to promote positive financial management and independence for clients, and ensure the effective management of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage voids, promoting vacancies across Julian House properties
  • Assess potential residents and ensure proper rent arrears actions are taken, supporting SMART payment plans
  • Support clients with daily living activities, helping them build the skills needed for long-term independence
  • Conduct home visits to residents to prevent eviction, and establish financial management plans when necessary
  • Report repairs and maintenance issues and help maintain high-quality living conditions for clients

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle (business insurance required)
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs, putting them at the centreof your work
  • Ability to work within organizational policies, including Equal Opportunities policies
  • Experience working in a social or health care setting
