Are you passionate about IT and seeking your next exciting opportunity? This role is for a dedicated IT Service Desk Field Engineer. In this position, the engineer will act as the advocate of the IT team at various assigned sites, ensuring high standards of IT services. They will serve as the crucial link between the site and the IT service delivery team, focusing on resolving incidents locally and collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance IT services.This home-based role requires travel several times a week to sites in the Southwest. Join the team and play a critical role in leveraging technology to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality healthcare services.
- Support allocated sites daily, arranging visit schedules with directors based on business needs.
- Proactively reduce ticket volumes using Sysaid ITSM to adjust schedules and minimise incidents.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve on-site incidents and suggest continuous improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Regional Operations Directors and stakeholders.
- Provide an IT escalation point for all sites and manage escalations to achieve speedy resolutions.
- Support the IT team on change projects, including acquisitions, expansions, reconfigurations, migrations, and installations.
- Log, update, and close IT issues and requests in Sysaid ITSM, prioritising critical tickets.
- Adhere to the change enablement process and engage stakeholders, including third-party providers.
- Report, log, and manage new and replaced hardware assets.
- Stay updated with systems, applications, and technologies, ensuring proper cable specifications and working with third parties for WAN/LAN/VLAN connections. Provide holiday cover for other field engineers as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and endpoint management
- Microsoft 365 understanding
- Solid networking experience and troubleshooting (incl LAN,WAN)
- Experience managing and troubleshooting WIFI and access points
- Active Directory management
- Professional approach towards duties and colleagues
- Experience working to ITIL best practices and a focus on service improvements
