Job OverviewWe are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in MSK and inpatient orthopaedics/acute medicine. This role involves providing comprehensive assessments, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, orthopaedic surgeries, and acute medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage a caseload of inpatients with orthopaedic, MSK, and acute medical conditions.
- Develop and implement patient-centered rehabilitation and treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, nurses, and consultants to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and rehabilitation.
- Assist in discharge planning to ensure safe and effective transitions to home or community care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to service development.
- HCPC registration and right to work in the UK.
- Experience in MSK, orthopaedics, and acute medicine within an NHS setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and discharge planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
