A brand new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Pharmacist to join a growing pharmacy in a rural village in Devon (EX15)!
You’ll hit the ground running with a diverse and supportive team, dispensing around 10,000 items per month, with a key focus on growing services and building strong relationships with the local GP surgery.
This is a full-time permanent position working around 40 hours per week over 5 days (ideally Monday to Friday + alternative Saturdays with a weekday off). Ideally looking to start late December 2024.
Salary: Circa £53,000 depending on experience, plus pension scheme and 33 days holidays (including bank holidays).
Ideal Requirement for the Pharmacist
- GPhC-registered pharmacist.
- Open to newly qualified candidates, though some experience is preferred.
- Must be fully trained in flu vaccinations and ideally contraception services.
- Comfortable performing Pharmacy First consultations, with training support available for travel vaccinations if needed.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and patient care.
- Responsible and committed to continuous professional growth as the pharmacy sector evolves.
Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacist
- Dispense medications, counsel patients on prescription use, and ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications in line with industry standards.
- Provide a range of services including flu vaccinations, Pharmacy First consultations, Travel Vaccines, and blood pressure checks. There is an opportunity to expand into contraception services and COVID-19 vaccinations (pending application approval).
- Work closely with a supportive team of 7, including an Accuracy Checking Dispenser (ACD), to maintain a seamless workflow. Engage with staff members to uphold a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Help build strong relationships with the local surgery to increase service referrals and further support community health needs.
