Supply Planning Analyst

The Opportunity:

Are you a skilledData Analyst, and does the prospect of working withhuge data setsinterest you? Then we have an opportunity within a global distribution business, where these skills will be fully relied upon day to day. Your role asData Analystwill be to control thedemandplanning of all stock throughout the business andanalysebusiness trends. Experience of working within a planning or supply chain environment would be particularly beneificial in this role.

The Opportunity:
  • Perform analysis of available inventory vs forecasted demand to highlight and correct planning parameters to achieve optimum inventory levels
  • Report supply risks and shortages using Excel and SQL.
  • Proactively manage lifecycle items, ensuring new stock levels items are available for product launches and work with the cross functional teams to reduce SLOB lines (slow moving and obsolescent lines)
  • Drive the planning requirement to establish optimum stocking levels across our warehouse network
  • Use a strong and broad range of analytical skills to ensure data-driven decision making underpins our projects
Youll be able to offer:
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Database experience: MS Excel or Access
  • SQL experience and skills
  • A methodical and structured approach to work
  • Ideally, some experience in direct purchasing/planning
