We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Product to lead our product strategy and development efforts. The Head of Product will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and execution to deliver exceptional value and service to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the aviation industry, strong leadership skills, strong customer relations skills, and a passion for innovation.

This is a Permanent Position based in our Exeter office. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Product to lead our product strategy and development efforts. The Head of Product will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and execution to deliver exceptional value and service to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the aviation industry, strong leadership skills, strong customer relations skills, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and communicating a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with ELMS Aviation's overall mission and goals

- Identifying market opportunities and define product roadmaps to address customer needs and business growth

- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver innovative and user-centric solutions

- Prioritising product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives

- Conducting market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify new opportunities

- Gathering and analyse customer feedback to continuously improve products and ensure they meet customer expectations

- Fostering strong relationships with all customers and partners to understand their needs and drive customer-centric product development

- Leading our Customer Success programme to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and penetration

- Leading and mentoring a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Setting clear goals and performance metrics for the product team and ensure alignment with company objectives

- Promoting a data-driven approach to decision-making and product development

- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

- Evaluating and implement new technologies and tools to enhance product development processes and capabilities

- Developing and managing product budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets

- Collaborating with the executive team to define and achieve business goals and revenue targets

- Supporting the business' compliance requirements to maintain and develop processes in support of our certification and regulatory requirements


The successful Head of Product will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

- Proven experience (5+ years) in product management, preferably within the aviation industry or a related field

- Demonstrated success in leading product strategy, development, and launch of innovative products

- Strong understanding of aviation industry regulations, trends, and customer needs

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools

- Passion for technology and innovation, with a customer-centric mindset

- Experience of implementing and/or working within an ISO27001 ISMS
