Are you an experienced Finance Assistant with a passion for numbers and strong attention to detail? Our client, a leading organisation in Exeter, is seeking a qualified individual to join their dynamic finance team.

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Exeter

Salary: £26,000 pro rata

Hours: Part time, 3 days, 8:45am - 5:30pm

The Role: As a Finance Assistant you will join our clients team in the prestigious property market, based in their modern city centre based offices! You will work closely with the head of finance to handle various accounts tasks and contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with sales and purchases ledger duties, including account reconciliation and journal entry
  • Generate invoices, service charges, and demands
  • Ensure accurate billing records by receiving incoming payments
  • Process supplier payments and reconcile accounts
  • Reconcile petty cash and company credit cards
  • Prepare monthly timesheets and expenses for payroll
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Finance
  • Contribute to special projects and perform ad hoc duties as required

Your skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in finance
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practises
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Analytical mindset with strong math skills
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A can-do attitude and self-motivation
  • Dynamic, committed, and commercially aware
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
