Secretary

Location: Exeter

Hours: Part-time,18 - 23.25 hours per week

Role Overview: Support the Rural Professional Department with daily office tasks, including typing, preparing letters and reports, and general administration.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service, methodical, and able to work under pressure
  • Bright, cheerful, eager to help, and quick to learn
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous secretarial experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher
  • Background or interest in agriculture preferred
  • May require a DBS and credit check

Key Responsibilities:

  • Typing letters, reports, valuations, and presentations
  • Supporting the Rural Chartered Surveyor and Land Agent
  • Organising filing and accounts
  • Handling phone calls and messages
  • Booking viewings and handling valuation requests
  • Managing diaries and appointments
  • Maintaining administrative systems and procedures
  • Conducting research
  • General administrative tasks (mailing, photocopying, etc.)
  • Complying with legal requirements (e.g., anti-money laundering, GDPR)
  • Supporting the auctions department when needed
  • Contributing to office housekeeping tasks

Working Hours: 18 - 23.25 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times. Three days per week, including Fridays. Some Bank Holiday work may be required.
