Overview:We are currently seeking Residential Support Workers for two of our long-stay children's homes in Tiverton, Devon. These homes, Rosalind and Barnes, provide essential care and support for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. The role involves working closely with children and young adults to enhance their life experiences and promote their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people according to their individual care plans and risk assessments.

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the young people, promoting confidence and self-esteem.

  • Assist with day-to-day activities, including meal preparation, keeping the home clean, and supporting young people in accessing local facilities.

  • Work with children and families to involve them in the day-to-day running of the service, providing opportunities for children to express their views.

  • Complete reports, maintain personal files, and administer first aid as necessary.

  • Adhere to Safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Work as part of a team and attend staff meetings regularly.

Shift Pattern:Shifts will include overnight and weekends as standard. Shift times are:

  • 07:00 to 14:45

  • 14:30 to 22:00

  • 22:00 to 07:00 (Sleep shift)

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK (passport, birth certificate, NI, or share code).

  • ID for DBS check

Interview Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a Teams interview (usually held on a Tuesday).

  • If successful, candidates will then be invited to visit the Children's Homes for an in-person interview.
