Job Description:
Holden Knight Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Children’s Home based in Exeter/Devon for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, providing the care and guidance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes their emotional and social development.
- Assist in implementing care plans, promoting independence and positive outcomes.
- Engage with children through activities, daily routines, and therapeutic interventions.
- Work collaboratively with the team and external professionals to support the child’s overall well-being.
- Handle challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner, ensuring the child’s safety and best interests.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging situations and build trust with vulnerable children.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
