Learning Mentor

Role: Learning Mentor - SEN School

Location: Exeter EX2

Salary: £85 to £95 per day

Timeplan Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Mentor to work in a secondary SEN school in Exeter. The school supports pupils with ASC, SEMH and moderate learning needs with a strong pupil centric approach and are very passionate about ensuring all SEN pupils have the right support.

Working within a class of 8 pupils, you will be supporting students that have anxiety, sensory needs and moderate learning needs where you will assist in the planning of their lessons alongside the teacher. You will also support students on a 1-1 basis within the classroom helping build their confidence and being a mentor to them. For this role it is very important that you have prior experience of supporting children or young people with learning needs.

Hours are 8.40am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time role that starts on 16th September 2024 and will become a permanent position before Easter 2025.

If you do not have a DBS on the update service, we would ask you to apply for a new DBS before you can start this role which we can process for you.
