You will

As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and proactive estate management service to tenants, their families and the community.

In this interesting and varied role, you’ll work directly with tenants providing support to ensure they adhere to the terms of their tenancy agreement and investigate issues as they arise. You’ll also carry out a full range of Estate Management tasks, including inspections, visits, meetings and partnership work

You’ll have a good standard of education and ideally a Level 3 qualification in housing or relevant experience, or willing to work toward achieving this. You will also have knowledge of the current issues being faced in housing and local government.

Working with people is a key focus for this role, so as well as being a confident communicator and highly organised, you will have good IT skills and an eye for detail. Importantly you will be able to effectively prioritise your own workload and remain calm under pressure. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as work effectively as part of a team and will often be working in a busy office environment.

A driving licence is essential to this role, as you’ll need to travel as required (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
