We are seeking a highly skilled, hands on and versatile Multiskilled Engineer to join our clients team in Eye, Suffolk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the functionality of our machinery and systems, ensuring optimal performance, and minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, using TIG and PLC Programming knowledge.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operation of all machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Multiskilled Engineer or similar role, with TIG Welding skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.00am till 5.00pm
