We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator to join our programme team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager and Operational teams to ensure seamless planning and permitting of works, adhering to council permit schemes, our company standards, and legislative codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
路Performance Monitoring: Work with the Performance Team to develop reports and dashboards to track performance metrics such as the timeliness of permit and licence applications, compliance with Start and Stop Notices, variations, and extensions.
路Audit Inspections: Conduct internal audit inspections on-site to ensure compliance with our processes and procedures related to permitting.
路Training Development: Create and deliver comprehensive training programs across various business aspects related to permits, licences, and application of required Codes of Practice.
路Stakeholder Communication: Assist Scheme Delivery Managers in addressing and resolving enquiries and complaints from the public, elected members, council officers, and external agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
路Permit Processing: Process Streetworks permits within the required timescales, ensuring all conditions are appropriately applied in line with good practice and legislation.
路Support Delivery Management: Provide support to Scheme Delivery Managers in managing the delivery of works outlined in the Contractors Plan Works Programme during their absence.
Key Skills and Experience:
路Team Collaboration: Exceptional team working skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
路Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity and precision in all interactions.
路Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Traffic Management Act (Streetworks Noticing).
路Technical Proficiency: Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI and planning software.
