Business Systems Technician

I'm seeking a Business Systems Technician to support my clients day-to-day functions of their ERP system and improve efficiencies across the business. This role involves working closely with the Business Systems Manager to develop new reports, KPIs, and dashboards, and provide first-line support for ERP-related matters. This is a fantastic role if you are an existing IT Support Analyst with ERP experience who wants to broaden and enhance their knowledge and skill set.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide quality first-line computer hardware and software support service to PC users, focusing primarily on ERP-related issues.
- Serve as a central point of contact in the IT Department for ERP and reporting requirements.
- Manage the Change and Development request register.
- Assist in developing and implementing changes to the ERP system.
- Develop and implement reports using SSRS, Dashboards, and other reporting tools.
- Manage and maintain server-based technologies required to support the ERP system.
- Liaise with external consultants and suppliers to progress support enquiries and schedule office visits as required.
- Assist in general IT support during busy periods and accurately report unresolved problems to line management.
- Register all calls to the Help Desk, advising on timescales and responding appropriately.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly systems checks and report any issues identified.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in an IT environment using ERP systems.
- Customer-facing skills.
- A Levels or equivalent in a computer-based subject.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Team player, self-motivated, and adaptable to change and competing demands.
