Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor
 
Carrington West is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor in Ipswich.
 
This role is your chance to make a significant impact by driving Health, Safety, and Wellbeing initiatives across crucial contracts and projects.
 
About the Role:
As an HSW Advisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained across our contracts and projects. You'll work closely with operational teams, offering expert guidance and coaching to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Expert Guidance: Advise and coach personnel on the implementation of the Infrastructure Management System (MIMS) and compliance with statutory provisions.
·Risk Management: Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are up-to-date and effective, and incidents are reported and investigated thoroughly.
·Audit & Inspection: Conduct regular HSW audits and inspections, working with teams to close out actions and maintain high safety standards.
·Relationship Building: Collaborate proactively with contractors, clients, and enforcement agencies to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
·Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and rollout of HSW processes and procedures, supporting the business in achieving its safety goals.
 
What We're Looking For:
·Experience: Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within the infrastructure sector.
·Qualifications: Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with membership of IOSH (Technician or Graduate level). Additional qualifications such as a NEBOSH Diploma or MSc in Occupational Health & Safety Management are highly desirable.
·Leadership: Ability to influence and drive improvements in safety culture across teams and projects.
