SEN Teacher – SEMH Specialist Provision - Easter 

Pertemps Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH provision for children who are not in mainstream education due to high anxiety, challenging behaviours, and complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and therapeutic learning environment. 

  • Location: Suffolk 
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent 
  • Salary: £31,000 - £49,000 per annum (dependent on experience) 
  • Interview Date: Immediate 
  • Start Date: Easter 

The Role: 

  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. 
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment to help students re-engage with learning. 
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to provide holistic support. 
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies to promote emotional regulation and personal development. 
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering trust and confidence. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent 
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and trauma-related behaviours 
  • Confident in de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behaviours 
  • Ability to create individualised learning plans 
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching
