This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in the early to mid-stages of their ACA or ACCA studies who's looking to take their development to the next level. The Audit Semi Senior RoleAs an Audit Semi Senior, you'll be involved in the full audit cycle - from planning through to fieldwork and completion - giving you the depth of experience needed to grow into a well-rounded auditor. You'll work closely with Audit Seniors, receive on-the-job coaching, and steadily build up your own portfolio and responsibilities as you progress.
This is a team that values learning, collaboration, and giving junior staff the tools to succeed - and they'll invest in your development every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing- Produce statutory accounts & draft tax computations
- Assist in planning and delivering audit assignments across a varied client base including media, entertainment, retail, funds, property, hospitality, manufacturing, recruitment, lawyers, and charities
- Prepare audit work papers and ensure files are completed to a high standard
- Work on-site and remotely as part of a close-knit audit team
- Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Support more senior team members and take ownership of your own sections of the audit
- Balance work and study commitments with support from your managers and training team
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (ideally early to mid-way through exams - this isn't a role for near-qualifieds)
- At least 12 months' audit experience in a UK accountancy firm
- Eager to learn, take on responsibility and grow your skillset
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-focused mindset
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to ask questions and get involved
- Exposure to systems like Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH is helpful but not essential
- Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience
- Full study support package - tuition, exams, and time off
- Hybrid working - typically 2-3 days in the office, with flexibility
