Working with a well-established and professional agricultural seed company, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Specialist to join the team and drive the promotion and sales of a diverse range of agricultural products, including a wide range of forage and grass seeds, silage, and fertilisers. You will play a pivotal role in achieving sales and margin targets while building and maintaining strong relationships with merchants, agents, and farmer customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the company's range of agricultural products.
  • Conduct farm visits and field support to ensure maximum sales.
  • Deliver sales and product training to employees, merchants, and farming groups.
  • Stay updated on market trends and communicate commercial and technical information effectively.
  • Generate and update pricing, quotations, and sales contracts to meet customer needs.
  • Manage and mentor Trainee Seed Specialists, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Identify and source new products while optimising marketing opportunities.
  • Assist in organising PR events such as shows, exhibitions, and customer visits.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, brochures, and advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
  • Ensure all sales are compliant with company policies, including terms of sale and credit control.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company information and always promote a professional image.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have successful sales experience within the agricultural sector, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to meeting targets. You should be comfortable working in the field, liaising with merchants and farming groups, and providing in-depth product knowledge. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams are essential.
