We are collaborating with a Defence organisation to recruit an experienced Supply Clerk/Forklift Driver. This role is essential for managing inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of supply functions within the organisation.
- Location: Fairford, UK
- Salary: PAYE £15-£20 per hour; Umbrella £20-£27 per hour
- Temporary position with potential for permanent placement
- Count, sort, and weigh incoming articles to verify receipt against requisitions or invoices.
- Handle unpacking and packing of Mobility Readiness Spares Packages, performing inventory checks and stock replacement.
- Examine stock to ensure conformance to specifications and store articles according to identifying information.
- Fill orders, issue supplies from stock, and manage requisitions to replenish bench stock items.
- Compile reports on stock consumption, inventory adjustments, spoilage or damage, location changes, and shipment refusals.
- Distribute stock among production workers, maintaining accurate records of material issued.
- Determine storage methods and stock locations, considering various logistical factors.
- Move or transport materials and supplies to other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
- Ensure shop tools are in working condition and manage tool kit assemblies for various crafts.
- Operate a forklift as required and perform other duties as assigned.
- UK citizenship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
- Strong reading, writing, and data comprehension/interpretation skills.
- Forklift experience is essential.
- Experience with USAF Supply functions and USAF Supply-related data management systems.
