My client is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Secretary to join their team in Fakenham on a temporary basis. Initially 4 weeks to help with some back log, but there may be an extension of contract.

The position is full or part-time, and the rate of pay is £11.44 - £13 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing patient appointments and liaising with clinicians to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Accurately inputting patient data into our clinical system (SystmOne).
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including filing and scanning.
  • Answering telephone calls, taking messages, and responding to queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good IT skills, with experience of using clinical systems (ideally SystmOne)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Experience working in a medical environment is desirable but not essential.
