We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading specialist civil engineering contractor delivering high-profile projects within the water and power frameworks across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in managing and delivering infrastructure projects that make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee short-term civil engineering projects on water and power frameworks to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
- On-Site Leadership: Manage and coordinate site activities, subcontractors, and on-site personnel to maintain smooth operations and efficient workflow.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities meet health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for clients, reporting progress and addressing any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering or build. Preferably have experience as a foreman or assistant site manager.
- Location: Central Belt based, with flexibility to work away from home Monday through Friday.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong management background, preferably within civil engineering however, construction or telecoms will also be considered.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and prioritize workloads to meet project milestones.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
- Certificates – CSCS Gold or Black Card, SMSTS and First Aid. DOMS & Water Hygiene would be preferred but not essential.
