We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for driving safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all production activities.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards.
- Report and investigate incidents; lead Toolbox Talks.
Team Leadership
- Promote accountability and teamwork.
- Lead by example in attendance, discipline, and workplace standards.
- Support, coach, and review performance of team members.
Production & Process Improvement
- Meet daily output and quality targets through strong floor presence.
- Set and track KPIs for production performance.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workloads efficiently.
- Lead lean initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Balance production lines and eliminate process bottlenecks.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor product quality and reduce rework.
- Enforce raw material and in-process quality checks.
- Improve Right First Time (RFT) performance and product yield.
Training & Development
- Keep training records and SOPs updated.
- Identify training needs and run effective inductions.
Cost & Budget Management
- Ensure production stays within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste.
- Track and report key financial and operational metrics.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and performance.
- Proven ability to coach teams and embed lean practices.
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving and improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in production management (preferably in manufacturing).
- Background in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- HNC or above in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar.
- Familiar with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
- Strong focus on health, safety, and compliance.
