D365 F&O and Wholesale Specialist

Location: Fully Remote (Occasional Travel to Cornwall may be required)

Duration: 6 - 12 Months

The Role

I'm looking for a seasoned D365 F&O Consultant with hands-on retail and intercompany transaction experience to join an exciting project! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has worked within an end-user retail environment-particularly a business that sells directly and ships to partners like M&S, eBay, and international branches.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting workshops & capturing requirements
  • Performing fit-gap analysis
  • Creating functional specs & executing unit testing
  • Engaging in customer meetings (UK-based travel may be required
  • Security & Access Management - Control user roles, permissions, and security best practices.
  • System Configuration & Business Processes - Define, develop, and optimize business workflows.
  • Customizations & Extensions - Manage and operate system extensions and custom modules.
  • Release & Change Management - Oversee updates, upgrades, and deployment planning for D365.
  • Database & Backup Management - Handle data migrations, restores, and archiving across environments.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting - Track system performance, manage maintenance and resolve technical issues.
  • Vendor & IT Coordination - Work with third parties and internal IT teams to ensure system stability and support.

Key outcomes & Deliverables

  • Strong D365 F&O experience - particularly in Retail & Commerce
  • Experience with Trading Partner/EDI integration
  • Retail industry background with wholesale operations knowledge
  • Solid understanding of intercompany transactions in D365
  • 5+ years as a D365 F&O Functional/Technical Consultant
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps & Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Delivery frameworks (SureStep, Success by Design)

Skills & expertise Required

  • Dynamics 365 F&O Lifecycle Services
  • Power Platform Environment Administration
  • Azure DevOps
  • Technical experience in D365 Systems Administration and Configuration
  • Technical functional knowledge in one or more of following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Fixed Assets or Inventory
  • Ability to logically troubleshoot technical problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Certifications

Required: D365 Functional Consultant Certification
Desirable: MB310 (Finance) | MB330 (SCM)
