Accounts Semi Senior Fareham based - Hybrid / flexible working - Modern firm Study support & management training provided. £30,000 - £40,000Are you an experienced Accounts Semi Senior looking for a step up and future progression? An exciting opportunity is now available for a part qualified Accounts Semi Senior to join a growing and modern accountancy practice in Fareham. Having come about through business growth, this is a brand new role which will offer hybrid working, full study support, and on-going training with future progression to manager. Day to day, this role will manage a portfolio of clients, preparing year end accounts through to submission, quarterly VAT returns, and corporation tax computations. In time, you will also have the opportunity to become involved in client management, dealing with clients face to face to answer all financial queries and conduct accounts review meetings. As part of your progression, you will also start to review the work of junior accountants, with a view to becoming and mentor and then a team leader. Benefits:

Duties:

  • Independently manage a portfolio of varied limited companies, sole trader, and partnership clients.
  • Draft year end accounts through to submission, prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
  • The opportunity to begin to review the work of junior team members.
  • Start to meet with clients with a view to conducting account review meeting with clients.
  • Answer clients' financial queries relating to year end accounts and tax planning.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will be part ACA / ACCA qualified but all ACCA studiers will be considered.
  • Proven experience in a similar, UK based role is essential.
  • Experience preparing year-end accounts through to submission.
  • Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns and corporation tax.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
