Management Accountant

Fareham 2 days per week

We are partnering with a leading wealth management firm experiencing exciting growth. As they expand their reach, they are seeking a talented Qualified Accountant to join the team and play a key role in their continued success as Management Accountant.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, we are looking for an academically strong, qualified, commercially minded individual who is organised and enthusiastic. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative and developing environment where you’ll be able to utilise your skills and expertise to support the groups growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
  • Manage and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead the audit process for their respective business unit.
  • Monitor spend against budget and investigate any variance.
  • Ensure rigorous financial controls are in place at all times.
  • Support the group consolidation by providing financial data on a timely and consistent basis.
  • Undertake ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks.

About you:

We are looking for someone either making a move from professional practice or with experience gained in commerce in a similar role who:

  • Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a solid academic record
  • Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Has a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Offers good academics with a common-sense approach
  • Has a warm personality, collaborative team approach, comfortable in a fast growing, agile environment.
  • Has excellent Excel and analytical skills. Able to work with and analyse large datasets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage as is knowledge and use of the Microsoft Power Platform, in particular Power Query
