We require a Commercial Manager to cover an existing workload within ACRO Criminal Records Office, based near Fareham (Office based).

This is an interim position for an initial 4 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Job Purpose:

  • To process incoming and outgoing post in accordance with ACRO’s procedures.
  • Working within the Business and Facilities office to provide a range of clerical services to support the office, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • To process incoming post and packages in accordance with postal and courier guidelines.
  • To identify and report any suspicious packages or post received in accordance with ACRO guidelines.
  • To use and maintain a variety of manual and computerised record keeping systems, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the data stored.
  • To identify errors / discrepancies and refer to the relevant department for clarification.
  • To report data breaches to line manager in accordance with the GDPR guidance.
  • To provide administrative/practical support and assistance to the Business and Facilities area, when required.
  • To complete e learning and training courses to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g. suspect package, manual handling etc.)
  • To give regular and effective service.

Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in handling information, both manual and computerised.
  • Proven experience of working in an administrative environment.
  • To have used and maintained data, index and filing systems within an office or Criminal Justice environment is desirable.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word or equivalent software packages.

This role offers a competitive salary of £12.56 per hour PAYE (Negotiable based on experience) and you’ll be working via Reed who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
