We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and organised Administrative Assistant to join our client’s growing accountancy team. This is a permanent part-time role, offering you the opportunity to support various administrative functions within a dynamic and professional environment. The working hours are 8:30 am - 5:15 pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and 8:30 am - 4 pm Friday.

Administrative Assistant - About The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the office. Your key responsibilities will include general administrative tasks, payroll support, postal duties, reception assistance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as typing and distributing letters, answering calls, photocopying, and scanning documents
  • Assist the Reception and Admin Supervisor as needed, including welcoming visitors to the office
  • Complete and maintain accurate timesheets daily
  • Handle postal duties, including scanning, booking, and opening mail
  • Support payroll processes by conducting payroll checks and filing relevant documents using Iris software
  • Maintain an archive database and manage archiving of documents
  • Process in-house forms and assist with other ad-hoc administrative tasks
  • Provide banking assistance as required

The successful Administrative Assistant will have/be:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 5/C or above
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role is advantageous but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office/365 applications, especially Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly and approachable personality with a professional demeanour
  • A valid driving license is essential for this role
