Design Engineer

The Role: As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed 3D CAD models and drawings to meet customer order requirements. You will also create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and investigate ways to improve existing projects or components. A good understanding of manufacturing methods, technologies, CNC processes, surface treatments, and assembly principles is essential.

What do I need?

  • HNC (MECH) or equivalent recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Drawing Office experience
  • Experience in light and heavy metal fabrications
  • Proven track record of taking design projects from concept to full production
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling and creating drawings for manufacture
  • Sheet Metal design knowledge
  • Practical experience in a manufacturing environment
