About the role

The Senior Embedded Design Engineering will be a key member of the software team and will be responsible to both design new algorithms and potentially new waveforms along with the requirement to make enhancements and modifications into the existing SDR design.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • FPGA design and development; current platform is based on the Xilinx System on a Chip
  • Delivering DSP algorithm development, implementation, and optimization for the real time systems on the embedded hardware.
  • Develop embedded code in C/C++ programming languages utilising easy to maintain, object oriented and efficient coding style.
  • Investigation of new technologies, development of concept demonstrators and input to the formation of company strategy.

About You

We are seeking applications from experienced, degree qualified, Software Design Engineers that possess high level working knowledge of embedded operating systems within an RF environment.

In addition to hardware description languages, exposure to Python, frequency & time domain test equipment and working with Linux would be highly advantageous.

In this position you will have the opportunity to utilise your pro-active problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills and work alongside a dedicated, friendly, and engaging team, focussed on continuing to develop our world leading products.

This role will require the ability to be able to secure a UK Security Clearance.
