Planned Maintenance Surveyor Permanent Opportunity via BRC Jobs:                Planned Maintenance Surveyor      Location:        Portsmouth/Hampshire Sector:            Property and Housing Contract:        Permanent (Or Temp to Permanent) Salary:            £42,000 - £47,000 Plus Car Allowance  BRC are working with a Local Authority who are looking to recruit for a Property Surveyor on a permanent basis to support the team with planned maintenance programmes including home improvements and major repairs. This role will be operating across a geographical area including Portsmouth & Hampshire.  Main Responsibilities:
  1. Part of the planned maintenance team you will deliver a wide range of planned maintenance programmes of work, consisting of improvements, major repairs, compliance
  2. Responsible for taking works from feasibility, investigation onto development of a proposal through to delivery, hand over and finally to completion of the defects. You will procure, coordinate and project manage the complete process
  3. Identify projects and establish the most appropriate approach
  4. Undertake tender processes to appoint appropriate contractors for works
  5. Manage contracts / agreements, undertaking the Contract Administrator role, which include duties such as monitoring the quality of works; management of health and safety; management of programme timeline; valuations and budget reports
  6. Ensure works are completed in accordance with statutory requirements, regulations and relevant procedures
  7. Engage with building professionals, engineers and consultants, instructing and interpreting their reports and findings supporting the delivery of complex and cyclical projects and works
  Job Requirements
  • Full Driving Licence
  • HNC/HND – experience in building construction, building maintenance or project management
  • Detailed knowledge of building trades, contract management and health and safety
  • A good understanding of specifications, bill of quantities and schedules of work
  • Experience of working in Social Housing
