Assistant Accounting Manager

What will the Accounting Manager role involve?

• Managing the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other standards.
• Overseeing the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns.
• Leading and developing a team of accountants, conducting appraisals and providing coaching and mentoring.
• Deputising for the Senior Manager when needed and handling resource planning for team members.
• Participating in key accounting projects and process improvement initiatives, while managing risks around the accounting function.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounting Manager vacancy:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA).
• Experience producing financial statements and a solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• A strong track record of managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
